Gout

Gout appears to occur more and more often. Gout is a painful inflammation. In gout put crystallized urate (urate = the salt content in uric acid) is stuck in a joint, the kidneys or intestines.

Symptoms:

The crystallization of uric acid in a joint often leads to a rapidly emerging severe inflammatory reaction with swelling and pain.

Cause:

In bearded Dragons is gout mainly due to too little drinking. Bearded dragons can still sometimes refuse to get out of a container for water to drink, they prefer to lick the drops of water off the syringe.

Treatment:

Go to the vet at the presumption of gout. Usually, this the bearded Dragon anti-inflammatories and painkillers. When the inflammation come too often and too intense for the bearded Dragon, it is often better to sleep.
