Respiratory problems

Also bearded dragons can a cold or even pneumonia (pneumonia). It often goes together with stomatitis mondrot (s).

Symptoms:

Breathing is difficult/heavier (panting/screeching noise), they become lethargic and the beard can mucus at the mouth or nose.

Cause:

Colds/pneumonia, this is in most cases caused by cold and tour. Most animals that cold conceive run this on during the period outside the terrarium, you can check out the animal best lash out, but an hour on a cold tiled floor is not so wise. Realize well that the normal temperature for these animals between 28 and 45 C. sit, so a living room of 21 c. is for a bearded Dragon so very cold.

Treatment:

Keep the temperature in the terrarium day and night high (35 degrees), and consult after a week up to ± 10 days a veterinarian if your pet not sort things out for itself. At the vet you will get, give ampicillin or amoxicillin for 6-10 days (on the advice of the veterinarian).
