Vitamin deficiency
Vitamins lack often comes by unilateral and improper diet. Also give too many vitamins can be harmful.
Vitamins A deficiency:
Eye inflammation, oedema, verhorende skin with chaps (looks dry out), permanent colds and bad Ecdysis. Vitamin A is as pro-vitamin in roots and sits in animal fat (liver). Too much vitamin A suppressed Vitamin D3! Vitamin A deficiency is rare in bearded Dragons (sometimes in young bearded dragons that no vegetable food).
Vitamins B deficiency:
skin and digestive problems, balance problems, cramps and paralysis. Is common among fish-eating reptiles, because many fish species contain a substance that Deplete vitamin B12. Vitamin B is a lot in yeast, meat and legumes (animal products).
Vitamins C deficiency:
die off tip of tail, skin disorders. Is not much for Vit. C works favorable to Burns and the common cold. Vitamin C is much in fruits like; Orange, peppers etc..
Vitamin D3 deficiency:
Rachitis and tooth loss. Vitamin D3 is using Uv light into the skin of reptiles. Uv light is in sunlight, but does not come by glass. Give them so whether Vitamin D3 in powder or Teardrop shape (don't care too much!) or put the animals in an outdoor enclosure or a terrarium with Uv light. Too much Vitamin D3 gives accumulation of lime in organs and in the long run, poisonings and skeletal problems (such as e.g. severe deformities.
Vitamin E deficiency:
Bad boy coming out of the egg. Vit. E is much in legumes and germs (e.g. bean sprouts).
Vitamin H deficiency:
Flake-like skin, muscle weakening and retarded growth. Vitamin H (biotin or vit. B4) is broken down by avidine, a substance that many in raw, unfertilized eggs. Give eieretende reptiles therefore always fertilized or boiled eggs.
