Blockage
Stopped regularly at bearded dragons. There are many causes for a blockage.
Symptoms:
Often there is little or no stool produced. When the bearded Dragon squeezes a lot with the abdomen (often with the tail something up) and there is a palpable thickening or even visible, the bearded Dragon suffered from a blockage.
Cause:
Cause like; received too much sand or too large food according to the size of the bearded Dragon what bad or not digested, rapidly cooled (idle) after feeding. Of course it could also be a blockage caused by a foreign object (corpus alienum).
Treatment:
A lukewarm bath can loosen stool and help to to come out. Do the beard a few minutes (AVG. 10 min) in bad and move it gently through the water, while the belly is petted soft over there (see power supply/water need/bathing). Repeat this a few times (e.g. 1 or 2 x a day, so recommended n 2 days straight). Many times have you at the first or second time already showing.(zie voeding/waterbehoefte/badderen).
It has no result you need to the vet for any laxatiekuur or colonics. Do not wait too long to go to the vet, the blockage will only get more serious. Offers a bearded Dragon food, never when these hidden! The body must first be emptied (is already blocked with a food mash) before more food in is stopped and the blockage worsened.
